Set Default Domain – Windows 7

To set the Default Domain on Windows 7. Run GPedit.msc from CMD prompt. (CTL+SHIFT+ENTER  for Admin since I don’t run as admin all the time.) Go to Computer ConfigurationAdministrative TemplatesSystemLogon called “Assign a default domain for logon“. Enable the policy, enter your domain’s name.  I used the FQDN with success.
